Sung-Yong Kim, M.D., Ph.D.

Prof. Kim is Chair of the Korea MPN Working Party and a hematologist specializing in myeloproliferative neoplasms. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Division of Hematology at Konkuk University Medical Center, as well as Director of the Education and Training Department at Konkuk University Hospital.

He received his M.D. (1995) and Ph.D. (2010) from The Catholic University of Korea. Dr. Kim has been on the faculty at Konkuk University Medical Center since 2008, serving as Associate Professor from 2014 to 2019 before being promoted to Professor in 2019.

In addition to his academic and clinical leadership roles, Dr. Kim is actively involved in multiple professional societies, including the Korean Society of Hematology and the Korean Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, where he contributes to various committees and research initiatives.
